Thank you for your suggestions on removing the rust in my tank. I researched the activity on the web, and ending up trying a product called Rustol (see http://www.sudco.com/rustol.html). It does as advertised and that's refreshing in itself. The inside of the tank looks new. If you decide to use the product, shop around. The price varies considerably from place to place.
That being said, tell me; is there any way to remove and install the carb without the battery holder being removed? Clymer says you can. I couldn't when I removed it to clean it. Many of you do or have done considerable work on your carbs according to the posts. I was just wondering if you could remove your carb without removing the battery holder. If so, how?
